- What is GolfStats2Go?
Simply put, the GolfStats2Go system is
an online golf scorecard, handicap, and statistics tracking system. After you
complete your round of golf, be sure to bring your scorecard home with you. Log
into your GolfStats2Go Membership, select the course played and the date
of the round, then enter your score (and other required information) for each hole.
GolfStats2Go saves your round so you can track your handicap and progress
during the golf season and throughout your golf career.

- What does it cost to become a Member?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! This is a completely FREE service provided by its authors for other
avid golfers such as themselves. We do ask that you visit our sponsors and
patronize their establishments. It is because of them that we are able to maintain
this as a free site.

- How is my handicap calculated?
The GolfStats2Go application makes it easy to track your handicap.
GolfStats2Go enables Members to enter their hole-by-hole scores,
fairways hit and more using a simple "digital scorecard" interface. After entering
the round information, GolfStats2Go automatically generates a variety of
statistics including Members' handicaps.
In order to calculate a Member's handicap, the 10 best differentials from their
last 20 rounds are used. Technically, Members must have completed 20 rounds to
have an accurate handicap. However, for those with fewer than 20 rounds, a
temporary handicap is generated after entering only 5 rounds. For each round
entered, a differential is calculated. Differentials are based
on a number of factors including the slope rating for the course played, the
course rating and your adjusted gross score. The actual formula for calculating
a differential is fairly straight forward:
(Adjusted Gross Score - Course Rating) * 113 / Slope Rating
The 10 LOWEST differentials from the last 20 rounds played are then averaged and
multiplied by 0.96 to arrive at the Member's handicap. If fewer than 20 rounds
have been recorded, the following table details the number or rounds used
in the handicap calculation:

- My course list doesn't have any courses in it. How do I enter my new round?
When you first become a Member, your course list will initially be empty. You can
record rounds played at any course previously entered by other members or create a new
course when it does not already exist in the database. The courses displayed in your
course list reflect all courses you have either originally entered or have recorded
rounds for.
TOP
- How many courses can I have in my course list?
There is no limit to the number of courses you can be associated with.
TOP
- How do I enter my scores from my scorecard?
After playing a round of golf, bring your scorecard home with you and log into
GolfStats2Go. Select "Add New Round" from the Main Menu and choose the
course played. If the course played is not already in your list of available courses,
select "Search Course Database" to see if another has previously entered the course
details. Once found, select the course and continue to the "digital scorecard" where
you will enter your hole-by-hole score, number of putts, fairways hit and greenside
bunkers you were in. When saved, GolfStats2Go will automatically update your
Trend Handicap and calculate updated statistics.
TOP
- How many rounds of golf can I enter into GolfStats2Go?
There is no limit to the number of rounds you can record. And we hope you're
getting out to the course at every opportunity!
TOP
- If I use my putter from off the green, should I count it as a putt?
No. A putt is considered to be any stroke taken when the ball is resting on the green
regardless of what club is used.
TOP
- Can I enter 9 hole rounds?
No. If you only play 9 hole matches, create a course that is indicative of the
"pair" of nines played and enter each pair as a single 18 hole round.
TOP
- Can I edit a round after I have submitted it?
Yes.
